What We Learned
40 days after that Noah opened a window and sent out a raven to fly over the earth to see if it was dry anywhere. Then he sent out a dove to see if the water was gone. At first, the dove could not find anywhere to land. But when Noah did it again 7 days later, the dove came back with a freshly picked olive leaf. After 7 more days, the dove was sent out again and this time, did not come back. This meant that the flood waters were almost gone and land was to be found again very soon! Soon after Noah reached land he offered a burnt offering to the Lord and then the Lord established a covenant with him.
God promised to save Noah from the flood and He did. God promised He would never flood the whole earth again and He hasn’t. God also promised that He would send a Messiah and He did: Jesus. And God promises us that, if we trust in Jesus, He will save us from our sins, and guess what? He will!
